Upgraded Pioneer SX-780 - Better Than New

Exceptionally nice Pioneer SX-780. 45 watts per channel, 0.05% THD. One-owner, nearly perfect condition. Recapped (all electrolytic capacitors replaced). STK power packs upgraded to Delta9 discreet component power packs, to ensure long life and serviceabilty (original STK packs were working). The Delta9 power packs are rated at 100 watts, providing excellent sound quality and reliability (original Sanyo STK packs are no longer available, so most replace with cheap $15 Chinese knock-offs that don't last long). Heat sink compound replaced on voltage regulator transistors. Solder connections checked and resoldered as needed. All switches and controls cleaned. Amplifier bias current set, meters calibrated. Sounds great, looks fantastic.

Cosmetically, it has two tiny knicks in the faceplate (left side, top), and one small crack in the veneer (right, front, bottom). It is a beautiful piece and sounds great.

The service on this would be a $725 job (3 1/2 hour labor, $375 parts). Price excludes shipping.

The OEM STK amplifier modules haven't been available for decades. Most replace them with cheap Chinese versions, which rarely last long. The Delta9 modules are made with discreet components and are rated at 100 watts each, for reliability, serviceability, and great sound.

Amplifier bias current adjusted, meters calibrated, and tuner section alignment checked.

There is one small crack in the veneer on the lower right front endplate (see pictures).

There are two small nicks on the faceplate. Other than that it is nearly perfect.
